Multi-cultural background

Born in Uganda to Welsh and English missionary parents, I grew up surrounded by people of all different nationalities.

That gave me an insight into the beauty of different cultures, and the motivation to spend my life building bridges between them.

Love of languages

My business name was inspired by a book for a reason. I’ve been enchanted by the power of the written word ever since my childhood.

Learning languages has given me the chance to discover whole other worlds of words. Translating them into British English that does them justice is a privilege.

Professional and friendly

I’m here to put you at ease, safe in the knowledge you’ve found the right professional for you.

As a committed Christian, I believe in providing a service based on honesty, integrity, accuracy, thoroughness and care.

Sky-high standards

As a professional translator, and in accordance with the ITI's Code of Conduct, I only translate into English, my mother tongue.

I put a lot of thought into my translations to make sure your message is communicated effectively and accurately.

Translations in Newbury, Berkshire

I’m based in Newbury, not far from beautiful Watership Down, the inspiration for Richard Adams’ famous novel, and for my business name: Watership Translations.

Are you based locally? It’s always a joy to meet my clients face to face.

But if you’re anywhere else in the UK or further afield, don’t worry.

I’ve got clients all over the world, and have processes in place to make sure our communication is just as smooth as it would be if we were able to sit down and have a cup of tea in person.

Fun fact: As well as running Watership Translations, I play the baritone with Watership Brass, a local brass band. I also combine my passion for music with my professional skills by crafting reviews and gig write-ups to support our press and publicity team.

Ready to get your translation underway?

Any questions about me, my experience or my processes?

Just send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you.
